Using this fast and easy tutorial for DIY canvas art with Sharpies will help customize your decor in no time!
I have been OBSESSED lately with these deer head, or stag head silhouettes! I just knew I wanted a craft that I could make for the holidays involving this cute design. That’s when I thought of doing a simple canvas craft and the easiest way for me to make the design really pop was to use these metallic Sharpie’s I found while shopping at Staples. I think it came out great and of course, wanted to share it with all of you!
DIY Canvas Art with Sharpie
What is really great about this craft is it’s super inexpensive to make. I picked up the canvas on sale at a craft store in a two pack that was around $4 and I bought the Sharpies at Staples where they are having an amazing sale right now. I purchased a 12 count assorted colors pack for $6, a 4 count assorted metallic pack and a metallic gold 4 pack were both 50% off making them $3.49!
So, I took all my supplies home to get crafting!
Supplies
1 Canvas
1 Graphic to trace (I got my graphic from We Lived Happily Ever After)
Pencil
4 pack assorted metallic Sharpies
Scissors
Tape
Step by Step Directions
See how easy that was? I think it is super cute and fun!! You could easily do tons of different DIY canvas art with these sharpies and this technique! I’m planning on doing another one with a line from my favorite Christmas song next!
Do you have any fun craft ideas to do utilizing these Sharpies?? I would love to know your thoughts in the comments below!

I’m planning to decorate my plain canvas bag with that method of yours but I was wondering if the Sharpies would bleed if it get wet?
Dana DeVolk says
I really don’t know if they would bleed or not. I’ve never experimented with that, sorry!
