Imagine a golden brown pocket of crispy goodness filled with creamy, spicy buffalo chicken. The cream chees filling spills out as you take your first bite of these Air Fryer Wontons. It’s mouth-watering!
That’s what we’re making today, and trust me, they’re going to be a HUGE hit, especially on game day!
Too often, we stick with our standbys when it comes to special occasions. I wanted to branch out a bit with some new ways of celebrating with this one.
The buffalo chicken cream cheese is a standard for game day. I’m sure you’ve had dips and the like that will taste very similar. But have you ever wrapped it up as a wonton filling?
These things were so popular at my last get-together, that I ran out way sooner than I expected! So, for best results, make sure you make a whole bunch. The last thing you want is to run short on a great thing.
And guess what? You can totally change things up with this recipe. Want to makes some pork-stuffed wontons? Go right ahead! Want beef instead? Do it!

INGREDIENTS NEEDED (SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST FOR THE FULL RECIPE CARD):
- Shredded chicken
- Buffalo sauce
- Cream cheese (softened)
- Scallion (green part only, thinly sliced)
- Blue cheese crumbles
- Wonton wrappers
HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER WONTONS:
- Preheat AirFryer by placing it on 400 degrees. Run unit for 3 minutes.
- In a small bowl, toss the chicken with the buffalo sauce, set aside.
- In a medium-sized bowl, cream the cream cheese until smooth, you can do this with a fork or hand mixer. Mix in the scallion, blue cheese, and seasoned chicken. Mix to combine.
- Dip a finger in a small amount of water, run finger along the edges. Place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of the wonton. Bring the corners of the wontons together on top of the filling, pinch the seams together.
- Spray the basket of the AirFryer with cooking spray. Spray the bottom of the wontons with cooking spray. Place wontons, not touching in the AirFryer, you will need to do this in batches. Cook at 400 degrees for 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Serve with blue cheese and celery sticks, optional.

DO I HAVE TO ADD BLUE CHEESE?
No, if you’re not a fan of blue cheese, you can easily leave it out or substitute it with something else you prefer.
Crumbled cheddar or pepper jack would be a great choice!
WHAT TO SERVE THESE WITH?
They’re delicious on their own, but you can up the ante by serving them with some celery sticks and your favorite dipping sauce.
