Well-kept hands and nails can attract the same kind of attention as a beautiful face. In today’s world where everybody is quite informed, you cannot just rely on your youthful appearance to make first impressions. By simply looking at your nails and hands, one can make an assumption regarding your age. Therefore, if you would like to portray a youthful appearance, it is crucial that you pay special attention to your hands and nails.

Hand care
Unlike what you may have thought, the salon is not the only place where you can take care of your hand and nails. There are a myriad of beauty techniques that you can use at home to take care of your hands and nails. Listed below, are beauty tips that you utilize at home to care for your hands and nails:
Warm Water: Use warm water when cleansing your hands. Hot water should be avoided as it dehydrates the skin, thereby causing flaking. On the other hand, cold water makes skin look tough and coarse.
Gentle Liquid Soap: Instead of using normal soap when cleansing your hands, apply liquid soap. Then again, opt for liquid soaps that are specifically designed for hands. Beauty gels are highly recommended since they contain fewer alkaline and as such are mild to the kin. Moreover, the nutrients packed in gels and creams ensure that your skin is not only protected from damages, but moisturized.
Allow Your Hands to Dry Naturally: Desist from the temptation to dry your hands with a towel. Rather, allow the skin to absorb the right amount of moisture before the excess moisture is lost through evaporation.
Use Rubber Gloves When Doing Laundry: Do not use your bear hands when doing laundry. Instead, wear rubber gloves so as to safeguard your skin from damages by the harsh chemicals contained in various detergents.
In order to guarantee the wellness of your skin, you need to moisturize and nourish it on a regular basis. It is for this reason that you need to utilize the right masks and baths when cleaning your hands. You do not need to have the skills of a beautician in order to use these products. All that is required is adequate time. In fact, you can do it while watching your favorite television program.

Tips for Preparing Hand Baths

Perhaps the greatest benefit of using hand baths is the softness and elasticity it gives your skin. Listed below are tips on how to prepare hand baths:

Hand Bath Preparation 1
One tablespoon of glycerin.
Two liters of warm water.
One teaspoon of ammonia.
Blend the ingredients together and then deep your hands in the bath for at least 20 to 30 minutes. Thereafter, dry your hands and apply a moisturizing cream.
Hand Bath Preparation 2
One tablespoon of honey.
Three tablespoons of oatmeal.
One tablespoon of milk.
Three liters of warm water.
One tablespoon of olive oil.

Blend the ingredients together and deep your hands in the bath for at least 30 to 40 minutes. Thereafter, rinse your hands using warm water and do not forget to apply a nourishing cream. For optimal results, apply this treatment 2 to 3 times in a week.

Other ingredients that you can use while preparing these hand baths include chamomile, plantain and nettle teas. But if your hands are already chafed, take a look at how to revitalize them https://wikitalks.com/2013/01/how-to-treat-chafed-hands/
Caring for your nails basically entails doing manicure after 10 to 15 days. Then again, do not forget that your toe nails also require special attention. To give your nails a soft appearance, apply a cream that has been specially designed for the nails. Coarse skin round the nails can be softened by using a nail plate. Finally, do not forget to remove loose cuticles.
