·         Try applying virgin coconut oil to your hair as a pre-wash treatment; it actually prevents water from penetrating into the hair strands. Usually when this happens, the cuticle rises and is more susceptible to breakage, so this is a great way of strengthening your hair.


·         Applying coconut oil before you wash your hair is especially effective because it will enable the oil to reach deeper into the strands of hair while you wash it.

One very important point to remember is that it takes time to get a beautiful head of hair, especially if you are starting at a disadvantage. It can be very tempting to resort to harsh chemical treatments to achieve the look you desire, but this is only a temporary fix and you’ll very quickly lose that “salon look” after a few days or weeks.
